My goal for my work is to design something beautiful and unique. As an artist, it’s very important that I pour my soul into each piece. Through all my experiences, I’ve learned that personal connection creates great work. I want to produce art that has positive images that can be enjoyed by the public. For many years, art was restricted to wealthy art lovers and not the everyday person. I believe art is a part of everyone and we all have our own way of expressing ourselves.

I traveled abroad where the words of the Masters motivated me to work in stone. Their visionary expression through their sculptures was very inspiring. Most of us need provocation to find our own artistic identity. When you find it, you want to show your point of view and speak to you. I think that my work does that by reflecting on the experiences of my life and heritage.

Recently, I have been thinking about the chaos in the world: war, terror, and fear. Even though things around us are chaotic, we are still progressing in so many other areas. Through my work, I want to show the opposite of chaos. I am fashioning sculptures and paintings that I hope will connect people rather than show the discord in our world. I create figurative and abstract sculptures that mirror what is happening in my life at that moment. I hope my work may serve as a source of peace and a way to bring people together.
